Diabetes Car Donation

If you want to get rid of an unwanted vehicle, consider the diabetes car donation program. Your donation will help in the efforts to prevent and cure diabetes and you may be able to get a tax write-off for your good deed.

There are several organizations that accept car donations, one of the most popular being the American Diabetes Foundation. Some are not just restricted to automobiles, but also include trucks, boats, RV’s and even small aircrafts.

The process is a simple one where you fill out a short form online at their web address; Car Donations Form, or you can call the toll-free number, 1-800-ADA-6570. They are available seven days a week. Once you submit your form, a customer service representative will contact you within four business days to arrange for a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle.

Aside from the ADA, there are many additional car donation programs such as Donate Cars USA, which accepts donations worldwide for other causes, but also works with the Latino Diabetes Association, a nonprofit organization focusing on diabetes education to the Latino community.

Donate Car USA accepts automobiles, trucks, vans, airplanes, motorcycles, RV’s, boats, trailers, even real estate and lots.

The donation process is similar. You can fill out a Charity Car Donation Pick Up Form or contact a representative at 1-800-269-6814. Monday through Friday, 5 am to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, PST. There is a 24-hour line where you can call to receive general information about car donations.

The diabetes car donation program is a win/win situation for everyone. Not only will you get an unwanted vehicle off of your hands, but also you will be doing your part to help find a cure for diabetes.
